On October 31, the cable-stayed bridge crossing the Dongping Waterway on the Foshan Major Bridge of the Guangzhou-Zhanjiang High Speed Railway, built by China Railway Guangzhou Engineering Group Co., Ltd., was successfully completed, marking the official completion of the main structure of the bridge.
The Guangzhou-Zhanjiang High Speed Railway is a key part of the national "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high speed railway network, serving as an important coastal passenger transport corridor. The main line spans approximately 401 kilometers, starting from Guangzhou Railway Station, passing through Foshan, Zhaoqing, Maoming and other cities, and terminating at Zhanjiangbei Railway Station. It is the largest high speed railway project in Guangdong Province in terms of investment and construction length.
