Passenger Numbers on the China-Laos Railway Surpass 40 Million

     Kunming, October 9 (Reported by Yang Zixuan and Han Fuguan) - As of September 30, the China-Laos Railway has operated 58,700 passenger trains since it began operations, transporting over 40 million passengers. Travelers from 101 countries and regions have used international passenger trains for cross-border journeys, turning the railway into a bridge for regional economic development and global cultural exchange.

  Since its launch, the China-Laos Railway, with its efficient and convenient transportation, diverse ethnic cultures along the route, attractive food and stunning scenic spots, has become a "golden route" connecting China and Southeast Asia. It has attracted numerous domestic and international travelers. To enhance communication services, the railway authorities have introduced various customer-friendly initiatives. These include equipping stations and trains on the route with language translation devices and providing multilingual information broadcasting services. To meet the payment needs of passengers from different countries and age groups, the railway authorities have set up dedicated ticket counters for international passengers along the China-Laos Railway route, as well as installed ATMs and POS terminals, ensuring convenient ticketing and payment services for the elderly, foreign visitors and other passenger groups.
