In the final two days of the National Day holiday, railways across the country experienced a peak in the flow of returning passengers. On October 6, national railways sent 18.524 million passengers, maintaining safe and orderly transport. On October 7, it is expected that 19.86 million passengers will be sent, with plans to operate 13,103 passenger trains, including 1,705 additional trains, marking a historical high in daily capacity deployment.

The National Day holiday transport period began on September 29 and will last until October 8, spanning ten days. By 9 AM on October 7, the 12306 railway ticketing system had sold 164 million tickets during this holiday period. Currently, a mix of family visits, students and tourists has created a peak in return passenger flow. Railway authorities nationwide are coordinating resources such as routes, stations and crew members to maximize transport potential. They are making every effort to increase capacity on popular routes and sections to meet passenger travel demands.

During the National Day holiday transport period, local railway authorities have enhanced service guarantees at stations and on trains. They have promptly increased staff and volunteers and implemented various measures to provide convenience and benefit to passengers, making the return journey smoother and more pleasant. Major stations under CR-Taiyuan, CR-Nanning and CR-Lanzhou have utilized their service brands to facilitate a smooth green channel for key passengers, offering seamless services from entry to waiting and departure. Additionally, CR-Zhengzhou has introduced local specialty dishes such as stir-fried pork, spicy chicken and Henan-style noodles on some regular trains, enhancing the "one good meal" service experience.
