On October 17, the Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Railway celebrated its first anniversary of official operation as a flagship project of the China-Indonesia cooperation under the "Belt and Road" Initiative. The Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Railway is Indonesia and Southeast Asia's first high-speed railway, having transported a total of 5.79 million passengers since its opening.
From the China-Laos Railway to the Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Railway, and now to the under-construction China-Thailand Railway and the East Coast Rail Link in Malaysia, significant progress has been made on the grand blueprint of the Trans-Asian Railway Network, gradually unleashing new momentum for regional cooperation.
